Hi there! I’m Tayna Mota Flores, a Brazilian native who recently immigrated to the United States in 2022. Currently based in Chicago - IL, I am an ambitious and motivated UX/UI designer with an educational background in Communication and marketing, and 8 years of professional background as a visual and digital designer.
My journey into the world of design began in 2014 when I discovered my natural inclination for visual creativity during my academic years. As the go-to person for designing visually creative projects, I eagerly pursued digital design courses to fuel my passion for the field. In 2015, my first marketing internships served as a pivotal moment in my career. It was during this time that I had the opportunity to design marketing assets and improve the company's intranet and blog bringing visual solutions through HTML and CSS coding, revealing my true passion for design.
Since then, I have been actively involved in the design industry, starting as a design intern and progressing to become a digital designer and art director in advertising agencies. Throughout my journey, I had the privilege of leading dynamic projects involving video and animation, which not only honed my skills in visual design but also sparked a deep passion for interactive design. In addition to my agency experience, I embarked on freelancing endeavors as a brand and web designer for local businesses. These opportunities allowed me to broaden my expertise and deliver impactful visual solutions to diverse clients.
In mid-2021, my journey took a new direction as I immersed myself in studying UX/UI design. It was love at first sight. Since then, I have dedicated myself to honing my skills, engaging in design challenges, participating in communities, and embracing continuous learning. This commitment has shaped me into a top-tier UX/UI designer, adept at bridging the gap between market and development departments.
